Storm Daragh

Has a lot to answer for.

A post lunch walk with two AGS friends who are holidaying in the area.   We walked up to the top falls at Dolgoch, the route up taking us along the Dolgoch ravine where there are many fallen trees this year.   Storm Daragh last December, hit very hard into the north facing side of the Fathew valley and associated side valleys in particular.   Here a large tree fell across the path, one of many such.   A lovely day for a walk, bright but not hot.

Earlier I had pancake brunch with Jamie.  He's off on his travels again tomorrow.  Later a neighbour helped by strimming the front grass, narrow strips that I intend to replace with planting beds and paths.  I will cover with membrane to suppress the growth over the summer and hopefully complete the work in the autumn.

Choir this evening was challenging.   We're singing quite complex harmonies and one of the pieces has no actual words, just Ba da da's and similar.  Still fun though :-)
