2025 Wednesday — What’s Out?
School might be out; in most places it is just about out. But . . .
. . . what about spelling?
Recently in our local bank, the young teller could not create a cashiers check for us because we had handed him a piece of paper with the name of the recipient written in cursive handwriting. We were shocked. In a bank, a place that cares about signatures, the young teller could not read a signature.
Parents, teach your children to write and read cursive. It will be a rare skill and possibly valuable in the world of employment.
That’s my 2¢ worth.
