2025 Tuesday — At the Train Station

Our friend Joyce has been gone to Alaska for just slightly over two weeks. She was there working with a team of others, a short term missions trip, building and repairing buildings at camps.

Joyce rode the Amtrak train from the Central Coast south to Orange County to fly from the John Wayne Airport to Alaska. So today was the last leg of her trip home . . . the Amtrak out of Orange County to San Luis Obispo.

Joyce was scheduled today to take an early morning train; when she arrived at the train station she learned that the morning train had been cancelled. So she rescheduled and got a reservation for the afternoon train. It was scheduled to arrive at 8:45 p.m. in San Luis Obispo but rolled in 15 minutes early.

We gathered Joyce and her luggage and we had her home in Cayucos just before 9:00. This has been a long day for Joyce.
