Heath Fritillary (pt II)

Having got up at 4.30am (yet again) I went back to Pound Wood to see if I could take some more butterfly pics. It turns out I could have had an extra couple of hours in bed as the chilly weather led to lethargic, resting insects. By 7am when these were taken, I’d only managed to find two butterflies but at least they were docile so I could get in close. The main pic is a bit on the showy side for me but there’s some more clinical images as extras.
