Cold morning

We had lovely blue sky today just like our wedding day 49 years ago. Happy anniversary to my Bob. Best decision I ever made was to marry the right man. We are going out to dinner to celebrate tomorrow as the grandkids will be working at the restaurant. 

It was a chilly -4.8 degrees C on our digital thermometer. N,M and L came in for a shower as theirs is being retiled. Poor Leo didn’t understand our old two tap shower as theirs at home is automatically at the right temperature. He had a cold shower which might have been OK in summer. I had already bought in any frost sensitive plants to shelter but there are a few that don’t like being outside and we carried them in last night, so pleased we had the chance as they would have been a mess today if we hadn’t. A huge Jade plant, orchid and peace lily might survive another winter but they are way too big for our house and take up too much space. This house isn’t designed for plants. 

After his shower Leo wanted me to measure him, he is now taller than me (age 14 next week). I am 170cm so not tiny.
