Windy abstract

It's been a grey, damp day today, but windy too. So my approach to photographing acacias in the garden was to use a longish exposure, and let the wind do its thing. This one is Acacia pravissima, or alpine wattle, which is just coming in to flower. The wind has created an abstract which makes it hard to see the flowers at all.

Also, this was one of the occasions when I've been unable to do better than the jpg out of the camera. I usually shoot both raw and jpg, and work on the raw image. But my jpg continued to look better, so here it is.
