Morning Has Broken..........

Up early this morning for Bempton Cliffs. Weather not very kind chilly, and damp. You can see the wood pigeon was not impressed. We walked in the opposite direction today, and all the birds we saw were busy collecting nesting materials, and getting themselves comfy on the cliffs edge. The extra is of a Kittiwake collecting dead grass for the nest.

We came back to our accommodation for breakfast, and spent time going through the mornings efforts. Jane prepared sandwiches for lunch and we then headed out to Danes D,yke  a local 148 acre nature reserve. We walked down in the mizzle to the beach where we sat, as the rain had stopped, and had our lunch before walking back up to the car park, lots of bird song.

Now back at the cottage, resting before a final visit to the cliffs, as we leave here in the morning and head for Chester and the Zoo. An over night stop on route for home.

P.S. A very big thanks for sending my birthday blip to page 1 of popular pages, very much appreciated :-)xx
