Wet and dry...
As predicted yesterday it chucked it down this morning. Morrigan turned from smooth black and chrome to fifty shades of mud, and my recently purchased commando boots proved as effective against water ingress as a pair of crocs... But still... brrmmm...
We did 230 miles through Hereford and the Brecons including some fantastic narrow lanes over the mountains. at one point a cattle grid nearly did for me, as my back end slid (I am told) about a foot before regaining traction.
The Sun came out in the afternoon. It didn't do any good for Morrigan's look or for my emerging trench foot, but it was a lot easier to see through my goggles without raindrops on the outside and perspiration steaming up the inside!
Looking back through the logged rides in my RealRider emergency response app, I think this is the longest ride I've done in the past five years, since Scotland really, pre-Covid. (hint: RealRider is a decent bit of kit)
I am knackered, but delighted. Motorcycling is a headspace cleaner, and it also gave Janet a day to herself to do whatever she wanted to do. I wonder what that was...? Tomorrow, there will be motorcycle cleaning.
