Pinks and purples

Are in profusion, as was the rain baptising us in biblical fashion this morning. Plenty of wildflowers are in profusion (extra) We managed to find a sheltered route using tall hedgerows and tree lined paths and tracks, Dippy’s fur coat did him proud, my attempts to keep dry were unsuccessful and a complete change of attire necessary when back in the shelter of Amadeus.
A lovely breakfast sized plate of bacon with fried sourdough bread was gratefully received and followed with a hot spiced ginger tea.
Most of the rest of the day was spent nursing the effects of yesterday’s cleaning of Amadeus, my back and ribs reminding me that I hit the road hard.
A gentle stroll on the beach provided plenty of conversation and excitement for Dippy’ as everyone joined in with his enthusiasm for life.
