Beyond the plough . . .

…………………….. fresh snow on the Remarkables.

It’s been bitterly cold today; down jacket weather. There’s supposed to be worse tomorrow! My daughter has slushy snow on the ground but none here yet. It’s certainly wintery!

A neighbour & I took our dogs out walking for an hour and otherwise it was inside activities.
My daughter joined me in the cinema to see the documentary 14 Peaks, a riveting record of a Nepalese climber together with 6 Nepalese climber friends climbing 14 peaks over 8,000 metres, in 6 months time. They may not have achieved the headlines & accolades that Western climbers would have, but they claimed the place that their talents deserve, especially in Nepal itself. They don’t want to hear that a climber was accompanied by a Sherpa. They have names!
