Husky
I was out for the whole day. Flute group first. Then I walked into Wexford to go to the bank and do a bit of shopping. I stopped for a sandwich, before going to the Asian Supermarket for cumin seeds and brown basmati rice. On my way back to the car, I came across E enjoying lunch outside a cafe with her dog. Stopped for a chat, stayed for a couple of hours - good craic, and then sheltering from a brief but rather heavy shower.
Once the rain stopped, I dragged myself away from the socialising, returned to the car, and went to the supermarket.
Meanwhile, W's day had been disturbed by Jimmy wire (see extra here). Husky had not been able to access the left side of the front grass, but the most recent landscaping had created a way through, and we have finally finished adding to the flower beds there. We'd been waiting till the newly seeded grass track was settled, but several weeks ago contacted Jimmy to lay new wires. He rang this morning, disturbing W who was fighting with recalcitrant websites, attempting to get some alternative quotes for his car insurance; and came this afternoon, so Husky can now mow the rest of the front grass.
W had struggled to keep up with the mowing, what with the variable weather and the myriad other gardening tasks, so you can see Husky's tracks. It'll take a couple of weeks for him to get fully in control of this extra area, but that's a job that can thankfully be removed from a list of garden maintenance and development tasks that can at times feel overwhelming.
