Another Hoverfly, Another Flower
At first I though this was bee on an oxeye daisy, but further investigation suggests that it is in fact a species of hoverfly, Eristalis Tenax, (the common drone fly) ,which does mimic a bee.
Had a few walks today…first one this morning, a quick 3 miles, but it rained most of the time so I didn't hang around for a blip photo.
Second walk was to fill in some time in Wetherby..I had a medical appointment at the surgery and I missed the bus home by 2 minutes (annoyingly, if they had been on time I would have caught it). Had an hour to kill so walked a bit round town and the railway paths..then popped into the supermarket..unfortunately some cakes may have jumped off the shelf into my basket, to join the naughty beer :-)
Sunny this afternoon, so nipped out for another short walk for my blip…
