Why The Long Face?

On my walk today I passed this horse in a field alongside the path..I waited and it started walking slowly towards me then just stopped a few metres away..with its head hanging down like this. It had no reaction to my voice and wouldn’t come any closer!! I don’t think it is neglected - there is plenty of grass and hay and a trough full of water. 

I am not a ‘horsey’ person - so I don’t know if they get bored / depressed but this one just seemed a bit down!! Maybe it didn’t want its picture taken

A bit of silly nonsense for Saturday!!There was more silliness as I was watching miles of queuing traffic heading to the Bramham Horse Trials - but I didn't photograph that!
