Nicky and her Nikon

Lavender

Today is Xena's birthday, already six years old which is possibly half her lifespan which is a very sad thought :(
Tommy and Inca decided to do the Seven Sisters walk today, it is a most beautiful walk on the South Downs National trail with stunning views of those iconic white chalk cliffs. They took Xena with them so that was her birthday treat today, and she loved the walk. It's rather long, and you walk from one end of the trail to another and get the bus back again.

I previously mentioned that I had booked a private appointment with a dermatologist for a follow up check of possible cancerous moles, as it was proving difficult to get that appointment with the NHS dermatologist. Sod's Law that once I had the private appointment organised, the NHS contacted me about an appointment, which was this morning. However as I was about to leave home for the appointment, I was phoned to cancel the appointment as the dermatologist was not available. It was less than an hour's notice! Luckily I still have my private appointment next week.

I made a home made granola for Gavin this morning and started on a photo book of our San Diego trip. Then this afternoon we went to look at cars - again - it's proving difficult for me to give up my beloved 8 year old car for something new and less expensive to run. I did test drive a car but I am not convinced...we are going again tomorrow to test drive another model.

And some beautiful lavender from my garden.
