Not Too Sure ...

This little robin joined us for lunch today at Smeaton Nurseries. We were on a tour of East Lothian, scouting locations for our next home. I think he/she was just getting the hang of mooching for crumbs from the table.

It was a lovely day, further proof that EL is the sunniest part of Scotland - and the driest. We visited East Linton, North Berwick, Aberlady, Longniddry and Dunbar (not in that order) - all have been recommended to us, and all have something going for them, but none stands out.  

We are lucky to be fit and healthy, if a bit slower than we were, as we approach 80, but how much should we be factoring in the inevitable decline? Or should we ignore all that and just go with the status quo and hope for the best ....

At least we have made one vital decision - we will contact an agent on Monday and begin the process of selling this house. Onwards and upwards, as they say ...
