Mystery solved

The mystery giant plant self seeded into a container is now revealed as a poppy. It is the same variety self seeded around the garden for some years but at 4'  6" at least twice as tall with a corresponding increase in flower size - see extra. Luckily it will soon finish flowering and be removed so the container can be planted up. Luckily another day with very little of the forecast rain, so an opportunity to prune , quite hard, the Magnolia Stellata now that it is finished flowering.
