Lesser Trefoil
This afternoon I let Stormin' Norman have a roam around the "lawn", which is currently more of a wildflower meadow. It always interests me to see what the reptilian Field Marshal chooses to browse on. He enjoys the White Clover flowers, but also I noticed him munching on these very tiny yellow flowers, which I think are probably Lesser Trefoil (Trifolium dubium), and which I had never previously bothered to study. Plants look very different at tortoise eye level.
Doris was much the same this morning as yesterday. My sister C phoned and talked to her, again.
I noticed the strong scent of Lime tree flowers as I walked back from my visit to Doris. There are a lot of Limes planted as road side trees in Winchester, and I always associate them with early summer when they burst into flower. See extra for a view of one tree as I looked up into the canopy.
