Old Man of Beacon

After the failure of star trail photography last night I went to Beacon Hill Country Park near Leicester for a walk under slightly cloudy skies. It was very breezy on the top of the hill, which I think is the highest point in Leicestershire, and there was a bit of rain blowing in the wind but it soon passed.

The Hill is made up of volcanic rocks and contains some of the oldest rocks in the country. This particular rock formation is know as the Old Man as if you stand in the right position you can see a face looking out from the rock face.
