Beauty is all around us.

Buds on the Gardenia.

The Feast Day of Saint Meriadoc. A Welshman who is venerated in Cornwall and Northern France. He lived in the fifth and sixth century. He gave up his considerable wealth and dressed in rags and gave money to poor clerics. He distributed his land to the needy. He founded Cambourne Church and several other churches in Cornwall.

The Feast Day of Saint Robert of Newminster. Northumbria.

Born circa 1000 Gargrave, Yorkshire. Died 7th June 1159. Abbot of Newminster Abbey, Northumberland.
After studying at the University of Paris, he became a Parish priest. He was devout, prayerful, humble and kept faithful to his vows of poverty and chastity. He was instrumental in founding Fountains Abbey. He was blessed with the spiritual gifts of healing and prophecy.

Today it has rained consistently for many hours. I was blessed to go to the Best One shop when it was only gently raining. Since then, ongoing heavy showers.

Next week, a mini heatwave is forecast.

I shouldn't have bought a EuroMillions ticket, because no numbers at all came up.
I don't buy lotto tickets usually, but I can think of so many ways to share a jackpot win, as no doubt can most of us.

I did some housework and then watched a Tommy Steel film. He was so cheerful in those films and a bundle of energy.

My Gardenia needs more time and warmth before the buds open. It has heavenly fragrance, so it is worth waiting to see the beautiful pure white flowers.

I intend to stay indoors crocheting, reading and then at 3pm watching some Father Brown stories.

Enjoy your Saturday. I hope you have decent weather.

Thank you for your kind comments blip friends.
