Ecclesiastical Embroidery

The parish church of St Mary’s in Eastbourne hosted a Fabric of Faith exhibition showcasing items renovated by church members. It was divided up into red, purple, white and green with an explanation of which times of year each colour was used. Alice and I had a chat to two of the embroiderers about how the restoration was done. A lot of fine stitching by people with better eyesight than me!
