Saturday: Rainy Day Reading

Rained all morning and until mid-afternoon, not very warm either.

Spent a couple of hours reading this lovely book which was a gift from my daughter, if you love sitting outside just watching the creatures around you, this book will feel very familiar and maybe remind you of special encounters you’ve had too :-))

MrD had bought a kilo of Anglesey New Potatoes on his way home yesterday and I decided we’d have them for tea with a salad. So I picked homegrown baby lettuce leaves this morning before the rain, also picked homegrown baby cabbage leaves to make coleslaw with grated carrots and thinly sliced onions and Hellmans mayonnaise :-))

This afternoon I watched “The Miracle Club” on Netflix - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Miracle_Club - stories from Ireland rarely disappoint and this one is a cracker!!

Whilst we were eating our meal this evening we watched the first episode of “Monarch of the Glen” which is still as wonderful as it was almost 30 years ago :-))
