Smaa Geos

A beautiful sunny morning, then a nasty shower, but cleared into a sunny day and evening.  Much warmer today, with a cool breeze.

Up early, washing out after breakfast.  Peerie Brian was heading south fishing, so I hitched a lift in the boat to South Havera.  Chores done around the house in the late afternoon.  Working in the shop this evening, busy as usual. Might try a pint later.

A perfect day for a walk around an island, I love days like this at home.  I did have the isle to myself at times, but there was visitors coming and going all day.  Plenty of puffins around, along with other seabirds.  The most striking features today were the beaches in the sunlight.  The golden sands washing up and down the beach, as the waves rolled in.  A lovely turquoise sea looking so inviting, although it was baltic.  I'd never need to leave Shetland, if we had the tropical climate, but then we would be overrun, like the big resorts on the Mediterranean.  I was glad to get this small beach all to myself.  Taken at Smaa Geos, South Havera.
