Country walk

Went to the pharmacy for a Covid jab, I decided I would have it after all.  Every few months we seem to be asked to go for some vaccination or other, and those of us who do must be well stoked up by now!  I didn't mind this morning as the pharmacist thought I was at least 10 years younger than my age and wondered what I was doing there!!

Went for a walk across the farm in the afternoon down the track.  The field on the right has a large grass margin which is to do with conservation and wildlife purposes and the farmer receives a SFI grant for so doing around his arable fields.  The margins are from 6 to 12 metres across.
The government are now stopping the grants which accounted for 40% of farm incomes last year and a lot of the conservation work on farms will probably disappear.
