Beating Retreat
Fetched a newspaper and coffee in the morning. Afternoon walk to London Road and Regents Road gardens; 8 rabbits on the damp grass. We more or less dodged the showers, although jackets were required.
In the early evening the Royal Scots Club had their annual Beating Retreat, the Lowland Band of The Royal Regiment of Scotland alongside the Royal Scots Association Pipe Band marching. Stirring music; unfortunately the rain came on heavily for the last ten minutes, though everyone watching whipped out umbrellas and jackets and stayed.
