Lauriston castle

Cycle ride first thing - chilly for June. 9C, and a stiff West wind. Medium weight leggings and a jacket, and I wasn't too warm. Went down the Trinity path to Granton, and along the shore path to Crammond. Tide well out - saw some eiders near Wardie, and a few oystercatchers. Turned in at Lauriston Castle on the way back; the grounds were open though I was too early for the cafe. History

Walk later to Modern One (Two is closed while they set up for the next exhibition); sat outside for tea. Heavy rain came on as we were leaving .. we would take shelter, it would go off, we would get a little further on then shelter again (the big cells going through had just emerged, not been forecast..) The sun came out shortly after we got back inside.
