Coronet Peak . . .

……………………… and Lake Hayes, a wintery day.
It was 2° here at midday and I’m not sure that it warmed up to the forecast 6°.

A cracking frost first thing and cold for a short walk with Missy, at -4°! Then to church, on Pentecost Sunday, with a punchy message from a Portuguese preacher. Good singing too.

The best thing today was seeing that my neighbour has been released from hospital and is back home! He looks so much better now. His initial diagnosis was wrong and so the medication was wrong, and he’s had to come off steroids. No matter - he’s home! and happy too.

A group of us played croquet later, all dressed up in down jackets etcetc. It was such a beautifully sunny day it was a shame not to play but some found it got too cold. We really need a better sited croquet green.
