Everyday Life

Grace will be coming here tomorrow evening, so this afternoon there's been a flurry of cleaning and hoovering all through the house, other than the kitchen and bathroom which I'll do tomorrow. I tidied, dusted and polished, and Brian did a thorough  hoover. I got him to dust places I couldn't reach, and his garden sculptures that are in the house because we don't have a proper garden.

I need to have a serious sort out and then find a proper housework routine suitable for a normal person rather than a weirdo who lives to clean! I've tried ones before that almost made cleaning into a religious practice. I just want to keep it decent without being a slave to it.

Of course before we got on with the job there was a lot of procrastination. We went out for a walk to get Blips first, then lunch, then a drink before we forced ourselves to bite the bullet and get on with it. We are both very glad it's done!

We can relax now.

Our walk took us through the park and up to the cathedral, where we spent a little time looking for the peregrines that nest on it. We were fortunate to see and hear them, but I had no chance of getting a shot of them and Brian just missed. I had a wander and took a few general photos on the area.

Then we walked up to the Dawber garden and took a few shots there too. My blip is a well tinkered with mono shot for a change!
