Royal Geographical Society Awards

First day of half term and I was off. Down to London and had lunch in Hyde Park in the sun, then over to the Royal Geographical Society for some meetings up in the historic Lowther Room, before heading into the AGM. One of my quotes was used in the Presidential address. Out for a glass of fizz and chat, then back in for the Awards - handing out medals and awards to some fine people (it was 2008 when I was given one of these awards). Out and to the Reception. Left to get my train which was when things changed: train was cancelled... a long delay and then ended up on a very noisy rail replacement bus from Ely, and home just before midnight.
