Giro d'Italia finish Cesano Moderno

A different day, not sightseeing. Off with son-in-law to see the Giro finish at Cesano Moderno. We did try to get trains booked, but the expense was a little too much. So up Autostrada 1 to Milan. Great to have a vehicle with air conditioning, it is set to be 29 degC today. Milan has an excellent urban rail network, so we park near a railway station south of Cesano Moderno, and get the train in. We have a nice lunch in a bistro. Then walk to the finish area. It is a bit packed. There are the vip areas on the west side of the straight. So everyone is packed on to the other side of the street As there are a two and a half laps, we opt for a position after the finsh line, shown in the blip, so we can see the race pass by a couple of times. We also get to see Nico Denz, Extra, the rider who won the stage being interviewed. We then head to the souvenir van to pick up a t-shirt, beofre heading back to the car, via the train. Dinner is at an Autogrill at a service station on the Autostrada.
