Upleatham (again)
Following on from yesterday, we went back again to Upleatham today for my blip. It’s a ‘wellhouse’.
Greg had his car valeted and ‘t-cutted’ by his dad today and some glue applied to the front bumper retaining clip. Seemingly someone had scuffed him when he was parked at the station car park and it needed some dad TLC.
So as the cars were swapped back on the drive once the tlc had been applied, Greg kindly ran me up the road for today’s blip.
I saw this yesterday when Callum and I went, took some snaps and researched what it was. I didn’t want to blip it if I didn’t know :-)
Anyway, it’s a wellhouse. It’s located next to the war memorial which is in pillar form, and the other side of it is a sunken in the ground drinking trough. Both the memorial and the wellhouse are listed buildings. Two temporary extras worth looking at if you like this sort of thing.
And I do have to admit to not ever coming across a well house of this sort before. Quite substantial really!
