Take 2
After yesterday's rather unfortunate white-out, today I went to a different spot a little further down the line where there was a much better view. The two engines again announced their arrival with a blow of their whistles but this time the steam quickly dispersed and I got a few decent shots. So here they are; Samson at the front, and Winston Churchill behind. I actually would have preferred to see them the other way round because 'Winston' has a rather attractive red livery and sports an American-style 'cow-catcher' on the front. I wasn't going to hang around or go back later to see it do a run on its own though.
I've not yet had a ride on this railway but have been meaning to for quite a while. It is only about 13 miles from home and runs down from Aylsham to Wroxham on the Norfolk Broads. Maybe one day in the summer but it's not a cheap day out for two at £24 each for the return journey.
