Nearly there
Twenty years ago, when I had just moved here, I was unemployed for six months and took small jobs that came my way. In the summer I was helping a friend who took on small jobs as a craftsman and he gave me jobs that he didn't have time for. I worked as a painter for some weeks painting summer cottages. I had no problem with hights so that was easy money. Today, when I only have two areas left to do, paining the high bits of my house, I borrowed a scaffold that allows me to reach the highest bits of the south gable. It's a totally different thing today to be working at this hight of about five metres on a slightly swaying scaffold with nothing much to hold on to. I do get used to it after a while, sort of, but it's still unpleasant. Tomorrow I'll paint the white on the windbreakers and start on the last bit on the north gable.
