Ruissalo

A grande day out in Ruissalo. A green island and natural jewel off the coast in Turku.

Lush green areas, empty beaches and thick forests. As it is still early in the season, there were very few people there even on Sunday.

Side note: There is also Ruisrock which is a rock festival held annually on the island of Ruissalo in Turku, Finland. Ruisrock, founded in 1970, is the second-oldest rock festival in Europe and the oldest in Finland.
