MONO MONDAY - GLASS
I was very late going to bed, so consequently, was very late getting up and by the time I had had my breakfast, and my quiet time upstairs, I was feeling quite uncomfortable with the irritation from the patches on my body.
However, that paled into insignificance when I heard from my friend that her daughter had just had 130 patches put on her back and arms, testing for allergies - which made me feel a bit of a wimp, as I only have 3!
I decided to look around for something glass to fit in with today’s MM challenge and found these glass stones and a flatish glass fish bowl - not one you would put fish into but just an ornamental bowl.
I played around with it and then used my Carbon app to put the black and white borders around, and am quite happy with it.
Mr. HCB has been out in the garden since before 8 o’clock this morning, pottering around and is still out there at 11 o’clock. Meanwhile, I am counting down the minutes until 12 noon, when the offending patches can be removed. I will then have a shower before we return the monitor to West Swindon, which will be a pleasure!
I have had another letter from the Cardiology Department saying, yet again, that I have been referred - how many more times do I need to be told this? However, I am told I do not need to do anything at this stage but if I haven’t heard anything by 1st July to get in touch with them. Why don’t they just send one letter with an appointment, which would (a) save paper - as there are three pages to this letter, (b) save frustration on the part of the patient and (c) save the NHS money on postage, which is not cheap? I will probably receive a text message too - talk about “belt and braces”!
It’s a bit of a grey day today but simple pleasures like watching the Ox-eye daisies moving in the rather strong breeze are enough to calm me down.
Hope you have a great week - and that the sun is shining somewhere - maybe even on you! M xx
Laughter and tears are both responses
to frustration and exhaustion.
I myself prefer to laugh,
since there is less cleaning up
to do afterward.

P.S. If you are interested in the Praying Hands Cross Stitch which featured on my Blip yesterday, have a look at this entry on 11th June 2023 and you will find out more. So lovely to be able to remember Olive each time we walk into Church.
