A walk to the river

I tried yesterday and today to get in touch with the car insurers. We have driven a long way to get here without incident and as luck would have it a small chip hit the windscreen yesterday and cracked it. I don’t think it will need a replacement but I’m keen to get it done quickly in case the crack spreads. However, I have not been able to get through as the national number does not connect. It was Sunday yesterday and a bank holiday in France today so that is probably the reason. However, I would have thought that for accident declarations there would be always be someone available. We did a big shop in the morning and then went for a walk down a pretty path from the estate to the river Weaver. In the afternoon we visited Mrs TT’s cousin for a cup of tea and a catch up.
