Home again
After a breakfast in the Premier Inn we got the Gatwick Shuttle then Thames Link rail to St Pancras where we got a Guardian, definitely the Daily Depression, before our Lumo to Newcastle which took under 3 hours. Metro to Gosforth to pick up the car— only Luke at home as Daughter was still at work, Nathaniel not yet back from school and Ella was away on a school trip to the Lakes. (Her hiking boots are size 8!). Asda for diesel £1.32 a litre - it was 14p in Algeria - then M&S for pepper crisps and samosas for an easy tea and a catch up with Race Across the World before an early bed.
I’m gutted as the deer have managed to infiltrate the rose garden, despite Mr C’s nets and wires, and they’ve eaten all the buds apart from the blipped Malvern Hills which is stunning.
Thank you for your interest in our Algerian trip. I’m going to have to read my diary, look at my photos and remind myself as we did so much!
