My eyes

We went to bed early but I woke at 6 with the knee pain. I rang and JMAPS have given me an appointment to see a “clinician” in 2 weeks. I tried the surgery for pain relief and was offered an appointment in 2 weeks. However after begging I’ve got one in a village 6 miles away for tomorrow morning.

I topped up the codeine rather sooner than I should have - the knee was agony after I hung the washing out - so I dozed a bit but at least the pain was less.

Then we headed to Newcastle RVI for my glaucoma check up. I got the works - eyesight test, peripheral vision test, photographs and pressures done. I’m at risk of retinal detachment (age and the fact I was -18) so have been warned of the symptoms. My pressures are up so I’m on new eye drops to try to combat that. While I was there Mr C did a Sainsbury shop. We have enough posh crisps to accompany the gin now. That’s the good news for today. Oh and it’s not raining so the washing is dry.
