RHS Wisley
After a morning of chores at home, I took Xena for a walk and it was pleasantly mild today, no need for a jacket.
When we got back from the walk I decided to go to RHS Wisley. I am a member of RHS and used to go regularly to visit the gardens at Wisley, but I have not been for over a year - probably the main reason is because of the extensive roadworks on the M25/A3 motorway around the Wisley interchange, which has caused awful traffic at times. I know that many people have cancelled their membership due to the access problems resulting from the roadworks, but that is the last thing the RHS needs. They estimate that they have lost £6 million to date due to the roadworks and motorway closures, and have called for compensation from the government.
The gardens were looking beautiful, while I was too late for some flowers as they were past their best, I was again too early for others, but the alliums were looking just right so they feature here today. The dogwood trees were full of flowers and also looking so lovely.
After that visit I went to get groceries so I got home quite late and only had lunch at 3pm. I took so many photos so I spent some time editing these photos this afternoon.
