Flowers
A Friday with no real plans. My day started with chores, then I popped out to the local artisan bakery for some bread and a few wee treats. Amazingly there was no queue. I was the only person queuing, which is not usually the situation.
Once back home I headed out for a run. It was a lovely morning, sunny and not cold. I was struggling to get going, when not far in I stumbled, lost my footing, and went splat on the ground, all where tree roots are pushing up through the tarmac. I got myself up, dusted myself down, inspected my wounds, and decided to keep going. The adrenaline carried me round my six mile route. The highlight of my run was spotting the red arrows as they flew by. I later found out they were on their way to Lossiemouth.
Once home I cleaned up my worst wound, which was my elbow. My hands didn’t seem too bad, and my leggings seemed to have protected my knees, and surprisingly were still intact.
The fresh baguette made a very nice lunch. Later in the afternoon I popped down into town for a couple of things, accompanied by BB. We then walked round by the river, before picking up a few provisions for tea.
I made a prawn curry, which turned out better than I hoped, given so had had to improvise a wee bit. Later the boys watched rugby and s movie. I was weary and had a headache, so had an early night.
There’s lots of these flowers by the river. I think it may be Dame’s rocket, but am happy to be corrected.
