All my favourites
were present this morning, and
I got my photos

I slept in until 6:30 and was not happy that I'd wasted a portion of the morning. I headed off to Tranquille to enjoy some peace and green space.

I drove the road below my hill while keeping a sharp eye for the big horn sheep. I was delighted to find them at the end of the road alongside the rail lines.

My first view of the big horns was not their best 'side', so I drove around the corner to view them across the rail lines. They were totally immersed in the greens before them and paid no attention to the traffic going by.

I stopped for a view of the wetlands pond. The waterways seem to have shrunk back a bit which surprised me. With the hot weather I expected it to expand with the melt in the upper levels.

By the farm I found the ospreys on the nest. They seemed very busy with housekeeping. I wondered if they were repairing or rebuilding the nest.

I took my last view of the wetlands looking south to the river. Water fowl are enjoying the expanded territory, if only temporarily. When the river drops in level, these waterways will drain leaving grasslands again.

I'm home with one appointment late this morning. The dreaded paperwork remains.
