Life's Little Moments

Hanging

I don't know really anything about snails or slugs and rarely photograph either one, but as I looked as this tiny creature navigating some phlox in my garden I realized that it's actually very pretty.  Usually the snails aren't active in the daytime, preferring to hide under leaves and wait for the safety of darkness.  But it is a drizzly, dark day and this one seemed to be quite active.  l

If you are okay with spiders, have a look at the very tiny spood in Extra - I believe it is a White-striped Running Crab Spider.  Super tiny, nestled in the buds of my common milkweed where it is waiting for sometime tiny to ambush.  Hey, everyone's gotta eat.

I am done editing my show images and have also tagged each with class, trial, dog breed and dog name.  This makes it much easier if someone contacts me later and wants pics of their dog.  Which just happened.

I did a quick nest box checks of the two nests with eggs - the House Wrens (Box 6) have 7 eggs and the Tree swallows have 5, which I think may start hatching this weekend if my math is correct.  The nest remains a thing of great beauty - 5 creamy eggs nestled in a downy bed of soft white feathers.

I look forward to viewing all the TinyTuesday images today - I know I will be dazzled!  Don't forget to tag your entries with #TT524!

xoxo
