Ducky Thirteen

While Ziggy visited the groomer this morning, I went to Seaton Wetlands which is only about a mile from the groomer's.
Firstly I "used their facilities" (as an old colleague always used to say), and when I pressed the tap down to wash my hands, a piece of my finger got stuck between the bottom part and the press down part. "Ouch" I cried, "Oh dear me!".
I then headed towards the large hide overlooking the water, and look what was in front of me! I followed Mum and her 13 babies for some way, along the path. They then popped through a duck-sized hole in a fence, waddled over a stretch of greenery and into the water. Lovely to see and made me forget my throbbing finger.
I collected Ziggy and noticed that he's now limping. I thought he was when I dropped him off but it was hard to tell as there wasn't much distance to walk. I think that's the result of a large, young, boisterous, and very strong, female Weimaraner who knocked him over this morning on our walk. Something else to worry about now.......
My extra is the duck family weaving their way through the undergrowth to the lake as seen through a ready made peep hole in the fence.
After I collected Ziggy we visited C , but today he didn't know we were there. Tomorrow will be different.
The good news is that when I arrived back home, the lawn and grass verges had been mown. There are some very kind people around.
