What a great day out! 
We started with a leisurely breakfast then headed to the Hermitage near Dunkeld for a walk. This was followed by coffee and cake at the excellent Birnam Arts Centre. A new venue for us, and to be recommended.

Then it was on to Branklyn Gardens in Perth, using the new Tay crossing for the first time to skirt around Perth. Easy! 

And another excellent cafe to recommend run by hard working volunteers.

This is their method of collecting seed heads from their signature mecanopsis. I’ve added some general shots of the abundant planting in extras.
