Working History

I had a late call with Canada last night, the end result of which is that I am going in to London on Wednesday to try to resolve the issue with the kit from the 3rd June (https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3376663181752536441).

The kit doesn't have a network connection, only a serial one, laptops nowadays haven't had serial connections since USB was invented, so deep in the depths of my old, unused toys box I pulled out a couple of USB to serial converters. Both still work, though the Windows driver for one of them was not happy., at least I have one that should work.
So much for the theory that we'll never need that again, and a good thing that I'm a squirrel!
