FLUTTERBY??
After yesterday's exciting adventure it's been a fairly quiet day today.
Hubby went down to Kents Bank Station earlyish this morning to tend to his plot, along with his fellow volunteers all tendering to theirs - it was their monthly volunteers day.
I later walked down to join him as I have a "Then and Now" project to do for the U3A camera club relating to specific old photos in Kents Bank. One is impossible to get as it is one of the Abbott Hall, which no longer exists and the land is now private and you can't get access. In the winter you can see a little through the trees, but not I'm afraid. I've managed to identify two areas though, and now just two more to find, which I think at least one of them is towards the top of Kirkhead Road and the other may, just may be, partway down Kentsford Road, so I will have to investigate this over the next couple of days.
Whilst down with Hubby I noticed this butterfly - I've seen so few this year and this is the first I've been able to photograph. Not a great shot but at least you can see what it is. Not sure what type it is, at first I thought green-veined or cabbage white, but it's neither of any those - any Lepidopterists out there know please???
