Holding On

We got up before the sun was hot so we could pick blueberries. I ate a quick bagel and fruit on the front porch first. With the recent moisture, we have tons of tiny mushrooms in the lawn. Was going to be my blip until I saw this drenched bumble bee holding on for dear life. My speedwell drooped when we were in WV. They are finally coming back. We only worked on one blueberry bush because I had to get ready for my doctor appointment. How disappointed I was to find out the appointment is tomorrow at 9:45 am, not today. I stopped at Aldi and bought a cantaloupe and a watermelon. We’ll take the melon to the tournament this weekend and share with Renee and Parker. Hubby planted my three new peonies and the yellow perennial. I’ll have to find the name; it’s on the pot. I am very excited about these additions to my gardens. My sister always finds the perfect gift. My foot felt much better early this morning; I could almost walk without a limp. But oh my, this afternoon, it is terrible again. I can put no weight on the foot at all. Hubby put the brace back on it. I made chicken salad and a juicy apple for lunch. While hubby mowed the lawn, I finished packing for the weekend. We’ll have an efficiency apartment-like set up. I am taking stuff for breakfast since Parker plays at 8:00 am each morning. For lunch, we’ll have sandwiches/salad and fruit. We will go out in the evening or have more salad. It’s hard to find lo cal meals at a restaurant. Renee found a music event on Sunday after the last game. They will go home but we stay an extra night. I just checked the weekend forecast in Williamsburg - ugh! Rain and thunderstorm off and on all weekend. They play in the rain until lightning is detected. Better get out our Frog Toggs and waterproof blankets. Dinner is cooked for tonight. Hubby is napping. Think I will join him. Wishing you rest when you need it. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit and especially for all your hearts, stars and sweet comments lately.
