Red - day 14

Done! This afternoon, after a hairy session on the scaffold, I put the last of the white paint on the barge boards, thus finishing the painting of my house. I'm happy, content and relieved after a job well done (for an amateur) and my landlord was also very pleased with the result, "I feel like I've got a new house", he said and it felt like he ment it.

To loosen up the stiffness in my back from my weird working positions, I went for a walk around the strawberry fields and was surprised to find a ripe strawberry already. It was growing a little out of line so I picked it to tidy up. It was delicious and a great symbolic reward for all that red paint.
