Hanging Baskets

Eighteen days since I first blipped one.  I think they might feature again before summer is over.   Two 'feature' plants in each plus a few plugs of trainling Lobelia.   Cheaply bought small plants, five beautiful baskets costing me about twenty quid total.  Bargain!

After a gentle start I spent a couple of hours at pottery cleaning and sorting.   Maybe I should have been doing the same at home!  But, I had company at pottery and the job needed doing.   Four shelves with glaze and oxides on, many the oxides in ancient plastic tubs that were beginning to disintegrate.   I'd already bought a few replacements and it all looks a lot better now although there's still a bit more sorting to do.

Home for lunch and laundry - one lot to the line, the next to the machine.  A hot day with a breeze, excellent drying weather.  A bit too hot for hard labour outside but I did carry on filling the brown bin with prunings for a while.   Choir after tea, practicing our bit for the wedding party on Saturday.   Then a walk by the estuary with Meg where we bumped into Si who works for the railway and his two Labradors.   I decided to brave it with Meg, knowing Si's dogs are placid and gentle.   After a few minutes Meg was used to them and all three dogs enjoyed a long off-lead run until dusk fell.  A good day all round.
