Stumps

It was another hot and sunny day today. A lovely day to be outdoors but I was back to my volunteering role at Save the Children in the morning. I’d forgotten that the beech trees had been chopped down while we’ve been away, so quite a contrast when I was crossing the field.
Busy morning in the shop. Good to catch up with Janet again. Chiropodist after my session and then Mr P and I spent the rest of the afternoon weeding and tidying up the garden. Tonight we were invited round to our friends (and old neighbours) Carole and Douglas for drinks and nibbles. We enjoyed meeting up with their son Simon again and meeting his girlfriend for the first time.
