Quizzical pigeon
Yesterday, I cleared the planter on the front step removing the bulbs for storage and planting in the Autumn. I decided I wanted some flowers in there for summer so we went to Staunton Harold where I chose two petunias. We also had ham, eggs and chips and Basil had a sausage.
It was very pleasant sitting outside.
When we got home, I planted them straightaway. Quite unlike me because I usually just leave plants on the patio. Len gave them a good watering. Our neighbour just had to weigh in with, 'Greetings gardeners!' Best not to say anything.
It was only today that I noticed his clematis around the front door has gone and been replaced by abundant honeysuckle.
This pigeon was sitting on the garden gate as we drove up. He looked decidedly quizzical.
